TEAM MEMBER OPENINGS

TEAM ROLE: Seasonal Beertender (Sundays)

SUMMARY:

The Seasonal Beertender (April through December) role is focused on providing friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive service that will create an exceptional experience for guests. This team member will be responsible for describing, selling, and pouring drinks, as well as serving as an expert on Flounder Brewing Co., our products, and craft beer broadly. We are seeking someone who is available to work on Sundays.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Foster a welcoming and friendly experience for all guests

  • Educate guests on craft beer and our offerings

  • Serve draft beer and other beverages

  • Check identification to verify guests are of legal age to purchase alcohol and serve guests in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations

  • Operate the point-of-sale system (Square) 

  • Maintain a clean work area and tasting barn by removing trash, cleaning tables, and collecting and washing glasses and equipment

  • Communicate clearly with guests and other team members

  • Perform other tasks as needed to support smooth operation of the tasting barn

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 21 years of age

  • 1+ year bartending or service industry experience in a beverage hospitality role in a taproom, craft-beer-centric bar, and/or restaurant 

  • You must like beer.

  • Knowledge of beer styles/brewing process or willingness to learn

  • TiPS certified or willingness to obtain certification upon hire

  • Must not work in any other alcohol tier. We are a manufacturer.

  • Strong sense of humor

  • Ability and willingness to serve calmly in a loud and fast-paced environment

  • Ability and willingness to take initiative when environment is at a lull

  • Ability and willingness to lift 50 lbs.

  • Ability and willingness to stand on feet for up to 8 hours

  • NOTE: We conduct a background check on all final candidates.

MONTHS NEEDED: Approximately April through December 

HOURS PER WEEK: Variable – ranging from 0 to 8 (no guaranteed hours)

PAY DURING orientation and training = $18.59 per hour (no tips)

PAY AFTER orientation and training = $10 per hour (plus cash and credit tips)
