We keep it simple: we built a tasting barn that is about hanging out with good friends, awesome family, and the cool neighbors whom you don’t know well. At our core, we want all to enjoy good company, good conversation, and great beer. Remembering a great time with great people paired with a great beer is the best way to experience your beer™. At Flounder, we are all about the experience. We know with just one visit to our barns you will see and feel what we are all about.

Join us to experience Flounder Brewing at our 250-year-old Dutch barn that we refurbished to create a nonpareil tap room—our tasting barn! Situated on beautiful Carriage Farm in the heart of Hillsborough, our barns—one for tasting and one for making—house our 18-barrel brewhouse and a unique tasting experience that will leave you with happy memories.

We are a BYOF, as breweries in New Jersey may not sell food. Carriage Farm is also home to 20+ businesses, and they often bring in food trucks. Click HERE for the food truck schedule; it is updated regularly.

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR VISIT:

Dogs are welcome on the front (paved) patio only as per the Hillsborough Health Department.
Minors are allowed except after 6:00 pm on Saturdays November 1-March 31, but must be seated at your table and accompanied by an adult at all times when not seated. This is for everyone’s safety and comfort.
Minors are not allowed upstairs in the hay loft—even if for a larger group. Minors are only allowed upstairs for private, rented events.
There is no table or seat saving for large groups. We cannot accommodate large groups expecting to host a party that is not renting the private loft. If you would like to host your event at the Brewery please click HERE for more information.
Please do not move furniture. Ask a team member if you need furniture moved.
Only tables at which your group is seated may be used for your food and presents/packages. Please do not use other tables for food, presents, and/or packages.
Everyone in your party must come to the bar before sitting for ID check. Anyone consuming alcohol must have their hand stamped.
No smoking or vaping anywhere except in Carriage Farm's designated smoking area. Ask a Flounder team member to point you there.

Absolutely NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL is permitted on premises.
Buses and Party Buses are not allowed on-site.
Nothing may be attached to table tops, especially portable child highchairs!

Looking for an amazing one-of-a-kind spot for a private party or special event? Our tasting barn’s hay loft is the perfect venue. It is the second floor of our tasting barn.

We can accommodate groups of 20 to 49 people. All events include dedicated space with private tables. We offer a fresh selection of beer on tap, as well as an assortment of board games for your guests to enjoy.
